Who are Harleigh Solutions?
My name is Andrew Campbell and I firmly believe that there is more to building an amazing website, optimised for your business, than the obvious skills in WordPress, HTML5, CSS3 and SEO; as essential as these are. 15 years as a Pricing Analyst for RSA Insurance and finishing with a spell as Pricing Manager at Neos Ventures, has given me invaluable business acumen and the ability to interpret and understand large data sets – this helps me to understand you better. I aim to not only showcase your business with an amazing website, but to then identify and leverage aspects of the site to achieve your conversion, profit or other goals. This allows you to then be able to make informed decisions.
“If you think math is hard, try web design.” ―Trish Parr
Pricing is all about tweaking your business KPIs to influence the top or bottom line, depending on whether your current goal is for profit or growth (there is usually a trade off!). Is it not them same with your website?
If your new site increases traffic by x%, how does this then translate into increased conversion rates and ultimately to more profit? If you’re a local or regional business and a percentage of your traffic seems to be coming from another region, ‘this could indicate that your expenses are possibly going to go up and therefore you may need to tweak your prices to take this into account.
“There are three responses to a piece of design – yes, no, and WOW! Wow is the one to aim for.” –
I can’t do everything and won’t pretend to you otherwise, but I can build web sites and I have a great deal of experience in Microsoft Office automation using VBA. Redundancy last year has enabled me to focus on the aspects of my career that I have really enjoyed and this has resulted in Harleigh Solutions.
“Intuitive design is how we give the user new superpowers.” – Jared Spool, Web Site Usability: A Designer’s Guide
I am married to Tracy and have one daughter, Rebecca, two cats and our new puppy, Harleigh, hence the business name. (Oh, go on, here’s a gratuitous picture of her!) We live in Eastbourne, East Sussex, which is perfectly situated between the South Downs and the sea.
“Content precedes design. Design in the absence of content is not design, it’s decoration.” -Jeffrey Zeldman
